It was another beautiful, chilly, gloomy day of junkin’! I went with a friend this time. We were on our way to our destination and got side-tracked by a sign that said “BARN SALE”. This kind of sign to a junker is what we live for! Our eyes light up, our hearts start racing, our bodies get all fidgety, our seatbelts comes off even if we’re still miles away…it’s amazing and quite sad, ha! Here’s what we found.
Here Fishy, Fishy!
Fishing!!!! It’s one of my favorite past times that I hardly ever do. I have decided, this year, I am going to do more fishing. I want to get back to doing what I love and becoming comfortable being still again.
“Little girl, just live.”
One day, it all came crashing down. I went from living a very comfortable life to having to figure out childcare, rent, food, gas and everything else in life on a very limited budget. I was at a stop light thinking through my groceries trying to figure out what I was going to have to cut from the budget when I heard a sweet whisper cut through those thoughts. “Little girl, just live.”
Joy in the Morning
Every morning I wake up to make my coffee. I even wake up 30 minutes before I need to in order to be able to sit and just enjoy my morning brew. That first sip brings me such joy!
When I Grow Up
When we were little children we were always asked “What do you want to be when you grow up?” Then when we graduated high school the question was, “What career path are you going to pursue?” It’s funny that when you hit a certain age those questions stop. What’s even funnier is that I am in my forties and I still have no idea what I want to be when I grow up.
Lockhart, Tx
I love getting out on the weekends and driving around ’til I find a cute little town. Most of the time it’s not a planned thing either. I will be sittin’ and decide today’s the day to throw on some clothes, a little mascara, a hat, and hit the road with no plan in sight. I just aim my car and see what I see. Here is Lockhart, Tx.
