I love getting out on the weekends and driving around ’til I find a cute little town. Most of the time it’s not a planned thing either. I will be sittin’ and decide today’s the day to throw on some clothes, a little mascara, a hat, and hit the road with no plan in sight. I just aim my car and see what I see.
One particular weekend, I happened on a little town called Lockhart. Their downtown area has a cool kind of “Austiny” vibe without all the traffic. You will find a little bit of everything including my favorite…. VINTAGE CLOTHES!
So if you are ever free for the weekend and just wanna go explore, head over to Lockhart. They even have a really neat State Park with a golf course and beautiful walking trails.
Fun fact: It’s well known for its barbecue. In 2003, the Senate passed a resolution declaring Lockhart as the Barbecue Capital of Texas. YUM!
