I love driving on the open road. With the windows rolled down, music blaring, and my hair outta control I have found it to be my place of freedom. When life gets hectic and everyone seems to be pulling me in every direction possible, I love to get in my car and just drive.
There is so much beauty here in the south. From pastures full of grazing animals to fields of luscious trees that meet the bright blue skies, it immediately makes me awestruck by God’s creativity. It refreshes my soul to get out and surround myself in what He created for me to enjoy. It reminds me of how faithful He truly is. As His Word reminds us, if He provides food for the birds and beauty for the flowers, why would I think He wouldn’t take care of me?
What is your open road? What do you do or where do you go to remember your purpose? What is that thing that helps you center yourself with your Creator? What strengthens your faith and reconnects you with God’s Truth? If you don’t know, you should take some time find out.
Life gets heavy real quick and you deserve to enjoy it instead of let it weigh you down. If it’s just a drive to the grocery store then roll your windows down, let the funk fly out, and breathe in His goodness. There are so many things to be thankful for and it’s so easy to forget that. So go outside and be surrounded. Surround yourself with His beauty, love, provision, joy, and peace. No one and nothing can take His surroundings from you. He is everywhere. His creation is everywhere and it’s not going anywhere until He says. That’s His faithfulness. Seasons change, but He never will.
“While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, winter and summer, and day and night shall not cease.”
Genesis 8:22
